Today we left Las Vegas and flew to San Francisco for the last 8 days of our holiday. This is kind of sad as we enjoyed Vegas, but exciting as we’re looking forward to exploring the city.
Got to the airport nice and early and found the flight had been delayed for an hour, which was a bit of a pain. Had lunch at the airport (Burger King - damn, do they do some good burgers over here!) and finally flew out about 12:45. Uneventful flight (always good
) Ended up catching a shuttle to our hotel rather than the BART (which we’d intended to use) as we found lugging 4 suitcases round the place pretty difficult and weren’t sure what size gates etc. would be on the system.
Arrived at the hotel (The Cartwright) at about 16:00 and set about unpacking. Much smaller room than the couple we had in Vegas, but the hotel is called a “boutique” hotel (i.e small
). At the end of the day the room has everything we need and the location couldn’t be more convenient being a 2 minute walk from Union square and right next to the Powell cable car line.
Had a quick wander around after unpacking and grabbed a great chinese meal for £6 for the two of us ![]()
